01What's your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For ODM products from our existing catalog, our typical MOQ is 200-300 pieces. For sample runs we can go as low as 100 pieces. For full custom OEM projects, MOQ is usually 500-1,000 pieces — the higher MOQ helps justify the tooling and setup costs. We're flexible on this for first-time buyers; just ask.

02How long is the lead time?

Sampling takes 7-15 days depending on complexity. Production lead time is typically 18-28 days for ODM and 35-55 days for full OEM. Q4 (October-December) we recommend ordering early — Amazon FBA receiving queues get congested, and our production fills up faster. For urgent projects we can sometimes air-freight initial inventory.

03Do you provide samples? Are they free?

We provide samples for all serious inquiries. Single hand-built samples are typically $30-100 each (refunded against your first production order if you proceed). For 100-piece production trial runs (which we strongly recommend before scaling), pricing is typically 30-60% above full-volume per-unit cost.

04What are your payment terms?

Standard terms for established relationships: 30% deposit at order confirmation, 70% balance before shipment. For first-time orders we may request 50/50. We accept T/T (bank transfer), PayPal for small samples, and Alibaba Trade Assurance (escrow) for first-time buyers who prefer protected payment.

05What woods and finishes do you offer?

We work with paulownia, pine, bamboo, acacia, walnut, oak, and several specialty hardwoods. Finishes include food-safe lacquer, water-based low-VOC lacquer, oil/wax (tung, beeswax, mineral oil), painted (matte and gloss), and custom stains. All finishes available with REACH and CARB Phase 2 compliance documentation.

06Can I customize size, branding, and hardware?

Yes — full customization is what we do. Custom dimensions, wood species, finishes, hinge/lock/magnet hardware, lining material, and branding (laser engrave, hot foil, deboss, screen print). Send your spec or a reference image and we'll come back with a 3D mockup and quote.

07Do you handle international shipping and customs?

Yes. We ship FOB (Xiamen or Shanghai port), CIF, or DDP. We handle phytosanitary certificates for all solid wood, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and ISF filing for US-bound containers. We work with both LCL (less-than-container) and FCL (full container) freight, depending on volume.

08Can I visit the factory?

Absolutely — we welcome buyer visits and will help arrange airport pickup from Xiamen or Heze. Our 15,000 m² facility in Cao County is a 45-minute drive from Heze airport. The Xiamen sales office is 10 minutes from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. Email us at info@xmchichomeware.com to plan a visit.
